#DragonQuest.
If you're even slightly into Dragon Quest, then please check on #DragonQuest. This is an IRC channel on Esper.net or EFnet. The regulars of #dragonquest tend to hang out on either Esper.net and EFnet (sometimes on both simultaneously), so you should check out both networks. If you're new to IRC, then I recommend that you access the Esper.net one. (To do this, set your IRC client to connect to adastra.esper.net and type /join #dragonquest when connected. If you don't have an IRC client, then you should download mIRC. for Windows or IRCII for UNIX. My ID on #DragonQuest is Malice35.
Here is a list of regulars (sorry if I forgot you; i can't think of everyone offa the top of my head) :

Interactive DQ.
If either Erdrick or Erdrick1 is present in #dragonquest, then you can play this interactive IRC game. Credit goes to SirDragoon (SrDragoon), a #dragonquest regular, for programming the script to this game. As of late 1998, it is still currently in development. Basically, Interactive DQ is a Dragon Quest clone minus the storyline, graphics, towns, etc. and all you can do right now is battle monsters. Extensive multiplayer capabilities as well as certain features not included with the original DQ games will probably be added.
For right now, you can just type !play and Erdrick will invite you to a private channel where Interactive DQ will take place. The instructions are pretty much self explanatory. For more information, please take a look at the Interactive DQ FAQ.
