Phoenician.
Attributes.
- -25% War Elephant and Elephant Archer cost.
- +65% Catapult Trireme and Juggernaught fire rate.
- +2 woodcutting bonus (it's not documented.)
Long-Term Plans.
Stone Age.
The +2 woodcutting bonus is important and you won't need as many workers on wood with it.
Tool Age.
No additional advantages are present in the Tool Age.
Bronze Age.
You've come up with a tough decision now. You can either rush in the Bronze or you can wait for Iron and get Elephants and ships. In many cases, going directly for Iron is very risky and you might still have won if you rushed in Bronze instead.
Iron Age.
Iron is mainly cleanup time for the Phoenicians if you entered it equal-footed with your opponents. Make sure you make many elephants early.
The Phoenicians dominate the Iron age waters once they get Juggernauts. They are probably even more advantageous than the Minoans if they make it this far but the Minoans have an easier time getting this far on water.
The Phoenicians have a complete tech-tree of Infantry. They can get up to Centurions and Legions. Infantry won't be that important this late unless you're desperately running out of food. Some Legions can be added to your army of elephant archers.
