Persian.

Attributes.

- +30% hunting.

- -30% Farm production.

- War Elephant and Elephant Archer 50% faster.

- +50% Trireme fire rate.

Long-Term Plans.

Stone Age.

- After your first cluster of berries have been depleted, try hunting for more food. The faster rate of gathering food from hunting means that you'll get food faster and you'll lose less food to decay.

Tool Age.

- If your hunting operations are fairly successful, you'll be able to bronze very quickly.

- After you hit Bronze, get Domestication because your farms will really need that later on. Get some of the upgrades that affect calvary too because you should attack in Bronze with calvary.

Bronze Age.

- Rush the opponent with calvary.

- Research and upgrade to composite bowmen and add them to your army.

- If things don't seem to go anywhere, then upgrade to Iron.

- When upgrading to Iron, place several stables and archery ranges for the future War Elephants and Elephant Archers. Also, get some of the armor upgrades for these guys too.

Iron Age.

- Your best hope is to do a quick rush early in Iron. If you do it late, your opponent would have super-units which will destroy your Elephants and Triremes easily.

- Don't get siege weapons unless you are somehow unable to take out your opponent's towers or need to reach something of a distance away. Your siege weapons don't get to have ballistics which makes them ineffective against fast, mobile units.

Interaction with Other Tribes.

Strong Against :

Sumerian, Minoan (land), Hittite.

Weak Against :

Greek, Choson, Babylonian.

Good Allies With :

Assyrian, Phoenician, Minoan.

Overall.

Although the Persians have strong Elephants, you don't really need them unless you had trouble in Bronze and have to go to Iron.
